Where can I find how to unlock an iPhone 4s for free?

My carrier takes up to 30 days.
All the links I've followed that per port to be free just end up taking me to a paid for service.

Put it in the microwave on high for 1 minute. The microwaves reset it back to factory settings.

If you've got proof of purchase (Bank statement, Credit card, Paypal etc..)
You can take it into EE shop and they'll unlock it for free

AWI purport - I was stoned.
Its locked to EE atm - daughter gave the phone to me, its her old one aka not knicked.
NS - couldnt see the answer on the other freds.
